Presented this slide deck: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/67530/637631557256430000
- Overview of process - Spent 2 hours walking through these slides: https://www.torranceca.gov/home/showpublisheddocument/59811/637552277590512903
- Planning commissioners asked MANY questions about if the RHNA figure for Torrance was legal, appealable, legislative workarounds, etc. The consultant gracefully said "No" to all questions.
- Pro-housing public comment from 2 people.
- The 3rd commenter asked if we could trade our RHNA numbers with another city. Consultant said "No".
- There was a number of surveys that were pretty much all pro housing in response. Link to surveys here: https://twitter.com/TorranceForAll/status/1389345338201309184
- Also, written public comment was overwhelmingly positive 17 pro housing, I think just 1 antihousing.
