- The city passed a resolution approving the General Plan Amendment and Ordinance rezoning 68.54 acres of land within the City limits to R-3 (Multiple-Family Residential) District where only 10.4 acres was required comply with RHNA. These actions occurred in May 2023.
- In March 2023, the City approved Development Plan 22-06 for a 50-unit affordable senior housing community and is working with the Regional Housing Authority, as needed, to allow this project to commence.
- In September 2023, the City approved Development Plan 23-02 for a 218-unit income based (affordable) apartment complex. The City has partnered with Habitat of Humanity on this project and Habitat is working to finalize necessary funding to allow this project to commence.
